ABOUT MARIA
YOGA TEACHER, DANCER, MOVER
As Radiohead wrote so well, 'For a minute there, I lost myself.' That line resonates deeply with me, as life has handed me many challenges—moments where I felt untethered and unsure of my path. Looking back, I see that each challenge has been a step toward where I am today: here to support others on their journeys, helping them feel at ease in their bodies and minds.
Movement has always been a grounding force in my life—a way to explore the world, find meaning, and connect deeply with myself and others.
My foundation in ballet gave me a strong sense of body awareness and resilience, which has grown as I transitioned from dance to teaching, from yoga to meditation, and from movement to mobility work. Now, as I study counselling and therapy, I’m expanding my ability to support others in even more profound ways.
As Jeff Buckley puts it so beautifully, 'Every flower in time bends toward the sun.' I believe that cultivating awareness—whether of the body or the mind—is a path toward that light.
It’s a space where we can explore, be curious, be brave, be flexible, be compassionate, and ultimately, just be. That’s exactly what I aim to create in every space I hold: an environment where others can connect, grow, and experience the freedom to be authentically themselves. This is what excites me about movement and mindfulness today.
I hold a BA(Hons) in Professional Dance from English National Ballet School and Central School of Ballet, a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Erin Prichard, and a 100-hour meditation teacher training with Isabell Britisch.
